Hims & Hers is a publicly traded telehealth company whose hims and hers brands offer GLP-1 weight-loss treatment.

In March 2026 the company shifted its US weight-loss offering toward branded GLP-1s; it says compounded GLP-1s remain available on a limited scale.

What it is

Hims & Hers began offering compounded injectable semaglutide in May 2024 and bought 503B compounder MedisourceRx in September 2024.

In March 2026 it agreed with Novo Nordisk to offer Wegovy and Ozempic at Novo's self-pay prices and to stop advertising compounded GLP-1s.

Its June 2026 10-Q says it shifted its US weight-loss offering to branded GLP-1s while offering compounded GLP-1s on a limited scale.

Hims & Hers describes its platform as giving access to treatments for sexual health, hair loss, hormone health, weight loss, dermatology and mental health, plus lab testing.

Its 10-K says prescriptions are filled through the company's wholly-owned pharmacies.

On September 10, 2025 Hims announced a testosterone category starting with compounded enclomiphene, with branded oral testosterone (Kyzatrex) and injectable testosterone planned for 2026.

The company says its compounded testosterone-support product (Testosterone Rx) is not FDA-approved or evaluated.

Prescribes: Brand-name Wegovy and Ozempic (since March 2026) plus compounded GLP-1s on a limited scale Generic and brand prescription drugs plus compounded products; for low testosterone, compounded enclomiphene (not FDA-approved), with branded Kyzatrex oral testosterone announced for 2026.

  • Testosterone pathway starts with an at-home blood test and a provider consultation.23

Cons

  • FDA warning letters (Sept 2025) on hims.com and forhers.com cited compounded semaglutide claims such as 'same active ingredient as Ozempic and Wegovy'.1
  • FTC, Utah and Los Angeles County sued in July 2026 alleging misleading billing, cancellation and health-data practices; the company denies the allegations and the case is pending.6
  • Testosterone offering relies on a compounded drug the company says is not FDA-approved or evaluated.23
  • Trustpilot score of 2.9/5 from about 9,600 reviews, lower than several peers.7

What users say

Common themes in public posts on Reddit, Trustpilot, the Better Business Bureau and app stores, summarised and linked. Individual experiences vary.

  • Reviewers like the simple signup and easy video visits.7
  • Weight-loss reviewers complain about membership fees on top of drug costs, late cold-chain deliveries and refund confusion.7
  • Hims & Hers' February 2026 plan to sell a low-priced compounded semaglutide pill, its withdrawal days later, and Novo Nordisk's patent suit were among the busiest GLP-1 threads of the year; many commenters criticised the move, while others worried the fallout would restrict compounded access for everyone.151617
  • After the semaglutide shortage ended in early 2025, members reported Hers messages saying standard-dose compounded semaglutide would stop while 'personalized' doses could continue; some said their dose was changed slightly to qualify.1819
  • In a 2025 thread asking whether Hers works, several members reported losing 30 to 50 pounds on its compounded semaglutide, while the original poster described slow loss and a suggestion to switch to a brand-name drug that would cost about three times more.20
  • By mid-2026 members describe Hims & Hers as moving to brand-name GLP-1s through its drugmaker partnerships rather than compounded versions.21
  • Trustpilot reviewers like the simple process and some report good results, but complaints cite refills shipped or charged before reminders, shipping gaps and melted cold packs, and the membership-plus-medication cost.9
  • Many reviewers find signup and ordering quick and the clinician guidance clear.7
  • Frequent complaints about membership fees, rising prices and charges reviewers did not expect, including after cancelling.7
  • Reports of hard-to-reach customer service and shipping or refill delays.7
  • In r/erectiledysfunction, several users describe Hims as quick and easy to get approved and say the medication worked, while noting it costs more than a regular prescription.2728
  • Commenters often point to cheaper routes for the same generic pills: a GoodRx telehealth visit, Amazon Pharmacy, Cost Plus Drugs or their own doctor.272930
  • Some long-term users of its daily tadalafil report steady results and like not having to plan ahead.27
  • Trustpilot reviewers: membership fee plus prescription cost adds up and prices rise over time.7
  • Trustpilot reviewers: phone support hard to reach; account and subscription issues hard to resolve.7
  • Trustpilot reviewers: delayed or missed deliveries.7
  • Trustpilot reviewers: pricing and membership terms felt unclear at sign-up.7
