Guava Health brings records from US patient portals together with daily tracking of symptoms, medications, sleep and more, and prepares a printable document for your doctor visits. It runs on iOS, Android and the web.
Emerge Care does a similar job in a different way: you tell it how you feel in your own words, it keeps the log on your iPhone, answers with named sources, and builds a one-page visit summary.
Choose Guava Health if
You want your patient-portal records (MyChart, Cerner and others) synced in, you use Android or the web, you manage health for family members, or you want a free tier that already includes visit prep.
Choose Emerge Care if
You would rather log by talking than by filling in trackers, you want every health fact to name its source, you want help keeping a new routine after the visit, and you want your records stored on your iPhone.

Where Emerge Care is different
You log by talking, in your own words, and it checks in when something keeps coming back.
Every health fact names its source, such as MedlinePlus, Mayo Clinic, the CDC or the NIH.
It remembers you across conversations, so you never start from zero.
After the visit it helps you keep the new routine going with reminders and check-ins.
Your health records and chats are stored on your iPhone.
A Health Age estimate from your uploaded labs plus Apple Health.
Where Guava Health is stronger
It syncs real patient-portal records across tens of thousands of US providers. Emerge Care has no portal sync.
It runs on Android and the web. Emerge Care is iPhone only.
Its free tier already includes Visit Prep, and Premium is $8 a month.
Family and caregiver profiles, and an emergency card with a QR code.
Visit Prep has been around since at least 2023.
Can you use both?
You can. Some people keep portal records in one place and use Emerge Care for the day-to-day log, sourced answers and after-visit routine. Bring whichever summary your clinician finds easiest to read.
Questions
Is Guava Health free?

Yes. Guava Health runs on iOS, Android and the web. Emerge Care is iPhone only for now.
Which app makes a summary to bring to my doctor?
Both. Guava Health has Visit Prep and an AI first draft called Auto Prep. Emerge Care builds a one-page visit summary PDF of what you logged since your last visit, with your questions at the end.
